Calliope Multicolour Cut Glass Chandelier

Every bar in this multicolour prism chandelier is a triangular prism, not a flat panel — cut so each length has three faces meeting at sharp edges. A flat panel transmits light. A prism bends it, splits it, and throws it. So when this fixture is lit, the aqua, rose, amber, violet and green don't stay in the glass. They land on your ceiling. Move around the room and the flecks move with you. At certain hours, when the sun catches it, you get them without the light on at all.

And because every bar hooks on individually, one chipped prism is replaced on its own — the chandelier stays on the ceiling. It also means the colour mix can be changed: fewer greens, more aqua, all one colour if you want a coloured prism chandelier that behaves more quietly.
