Soft, sculptural, and quietly confident, it gives you that perfect “just one more minute” kind of comfort.
Its open shape makes it easy to love in almost any setting, from a hotel lobby to a cozy office corner or a beautifully designed living room. Add the swivel base, and suddenly conversations feel easier, waiting feels nicer, and taking a break feels like a very good idea.
AHKKÁ is not just a chair. It is a little invitation to slow down, sit well, and make the room look better while doing it.
Great attention has been devoted to the design of proportions and surfaces, ensuring the armchair appears balanced and harmonious from every angle. The rear and side surfaces of the backrest and armrests develop through progressive curves that interact with the seat, creating the impression of a single continuous and enveloping volume. Inside, the ergonomic padding emerges with precise lines that meet the outer shell along defined edges, resulting in a design armchair with a refined and controlled aesthetic.

A swivel base supports the Ahkka lounge armchair and incorporates an adaptive mechanism concealed beneath the upholstery, designed to follow the movements of the body naturally. This technical solution allows a smooth transition from a relaxed, reclined position to a more upright and active posture. The padding, enhanced with integrated cushions and generous armrests, completes a soft and well-balanced seat, designed to offer maximum comfort in contemporary lounges, waiting areas, and welcoming work environments.
The mountains of Sweden have inspired a lounge chair where comfort and design blend with a Nordic flair.

VARIANTS

AH 9090

AH 7090

AH P000

MATERIALS + DOWNLOADS

MATERIALS AND FINISHES

Upholstery Options

Below are True’s standard upholstery options for indoor and outdoor use. Defined by soft curves, rounded edges, and an essential sculptural form, Ahkka combines contemporary design with exceptional seating comfort for lounges, reception areas, hospitality interiors, and modern office environments.

The name Ahkka is inspired by Sweden’s tenth highest mountain peak, a northern landscape shaped over millennia by Ice Age glaciers. This natural reference is reflected in the armchair’s smooth, continuous surfaces, which appear gently sculpted rather than sharply constructed. The result is an elegant lounge chair with a calm, organic presence and a distinctive architectural character.

Designed for professional and contract interiors, the Ahkka lounge armchair offers a refined balance between visual softness and ergonomic support. Its enveloping upholstered shell, generous seat, and rounded armrests create a comfortable and welcoming place for waiting, meeting, reading, or relaxing. The continuous outer surfaces give the chair a harmonious appearance from every angle, making it ideal for open spaces where furniture must look considered from both the front and back.

The Ahkka collection includes a standard-back lounge armchair, a high-back wingback lounge chair, and a matching footstool. The standard version offers a more open and versatile profile, while the wingback version provides a greater sense of privacy and protection. With its taller backrest and embracing sides, the wingback lounge chair is especially well suited for open-plan offices, hotel lobbies, libraries, executive lounges and quiet conversation areas.

Comfort is central to the Ahkka design. The chair is supported by a swivel base and includes a concealed adaptive mechanism that naturally follows the movement of the body. This allows users to shift smoothly from a relaxed reclining position to a more upright posture. Integrated cushions, generous padding and soft armrests enhance the seating experience, making Ahkka a practical and inviting solution for both hospitality and workplace interiors.

With a wide range of upholstery options, finishes, and configurations, Ahkka offers strong design flexibility for architects, interior designers, and contract furniture projects. Whether used as a single statement lounge chair or arranged in groups, Ahkka brings warmth, comfort, and contemporary elegance to reception spaces, waiting areas, hotel lounges, office breakout zones, and refined residential interiors.

TRUE
Cat.
