The Durgu Sofa is a wide, modern modular sofa designed for interiors that need strong visual presence, generous seating, and flexible configuration options. Designed by Tanju Özelgin, Durgu offers a dignified, confident look with multiple module dimensions that allow designers to create different sofa widths for large and small spaces alike. It is especially well suited for break rooms, hospital waiting rooms, educational institutions, exhibition centers, business centers, lobbies, and other high-traffic shared interiors.

Built for contract use, the Durgu Sofa features a metal structure and contract-grade injection molded polyurethane foam, creating a durable seating solution for commercial environments. The collection is available in double, triple, and quadruple sofa models, along with modular units that make it possible to create extended seating layouts for larger lounge areas. Its clean form and generous scale make it a strong choice for office lounges, hotel lobbies, healthcare waiting areas, university common areas, public seating zones, and modern reception spaces.

One of Durgu’s signature details is the linear design element along the lower part of the seatback, giving the sofa a distinctive architectural character. The accurate stitching between the armrest and backrest also highlights B&T Design’s upholstery craftsmanship, giving the piece a tailored and polished look. The base can be specified in chrome or static paint finishes, while upholstery can be selected from B&T Design’s graded fabric collection for a customized project-ready result.
